Prior to forming Periscope Post & Audio, Mr. Nehs was the Managing Producer for Strata Productions in Chicago. While with Strata, Mr. Nehs produced multiple films over seeing production and post production. His producing and post production background spans a 15 year history in film and television, with credits that include the films (Almost Salinas, Heans Fall, No God No Master, and Composed (Documentary), and television: Lake Country Whitetails, Hunt School, Mind Games, Betryal, Sirens, Empire and Crisis. His years of experience as a producer and post supervisor give him the ability to move projects forward in a timely fashion and guarantee the highest quality to all clients.\
Jonathan is an experienced producer and entertainment financier. He started his career at Arthur Andersen and Hilco Capital before focusing on financing and producing entertainment content.
Jahred is a Marquette University Alumni and the man behind the numbers at Periscope. He specializes in tax credits and finishing funds loans.
Alex has worked in all facets of the industry, and uses his 13 years of post experience to help realize Periscope's vision.
Jason is a graduate of Tribeca Flashpoint and has been with Periscope Post & Audio since it was established. Though sound design is his main focus, he wears many hats within in the audio department. His versatility is his strength as he has worked numerous roles ranging from ADR, Foley, and music all the way through final mix.
ASSISTANT AUDIO ENGINEER / POST COORDINATOR
Kaitlyn started at Periscope Post & Audio as an intern and worked her way up to find a home here as a staff engineer. She has post audio experience in network television, working on "Empire", "The Exorcist", and "APB" (FOX), as well as various shorts, web series, and feature films.
Carlos is a Grammy Award-nominated multi-instrumentalist, artist, songwriter, producer, and composer known for his music on "Baywatch Hawaii" (NBC), "Sex & The City" (HBO), "Empire" (FOX), among others.
Matt is a Chicago-based sound designer and audio engineer, who has always had a love for music and anything else that makes a fun sound or noise. Since joining Periscope Post and Audio, Matt has worked on various projects such as "Kickboxer Vengeance" (2016), "BoyBand: Season 2" (2016) "The Orange Story" (2016) and "WaMahyaya: Season 3" (2016) amongst other titles.
John is a sound designer / mixer involved with all facets of audio in film, web series,animations, video games, and in the commercial industry. He was recognized as one of the top 50 film people to know in Chicago by NewCity publication.
Some of John’s projects include the NYTVF series The Jamz on Netflix, a documentary series called Our Longest Drive on the Golf Channel, Netherrealm’s Justice League video game Injustice God’s Among Us, and Telltale Games The Walking Dead: Season 2. John has earned some recognition in the commercial industry as well with a Telly Award for his sound design work for BMW Golf spot “Don’t Miss - Denver”, and an AVA Digital award for his sound design work on a Red Bull video “Soapbox”.
ASSISTANT AUDIO ENGINEER
Jeremy is a Chicago-based audio engineer and a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago who uses his love for making noise and breaking things to create a solid Foley track for the projects he works on. Along with Foley recording, his biggest strength is in audio restoration and repair.
MICHAEL THOMAS JAMES, aka CONTACT
Stemming from a background of broadcast commercial design and animation, Michael handles editorial at Periscope from dailies processing to feature cutting. Organization, attention to detail, and the passion of collaborative storytelling are what drives him in each project.
Adam's production experience includes work for Warner Bros., Universal, Sony, HBO, and BET while his post-production work includes jobs with Harpo, NBC, deluxe, and Encore Hollywood. In his 12 years in entertainment he has won Emmy awards for editing and writing and been nominated for directing, producing, and motion graphics among other categories.
SCOTT R. DIXON
Scott R. Dixon is an editor and visual effects artist working in the Chicagoland area. Scott, a graduate of DePaul University, has spent the past few years working in the editorial department for various theatrical, television and web-based productions. Whether it’s cutting short-form comedy, designing motion graphics for a feature film, or transcribing and making closed-captions for a documentary, Scott is up to any challenge. He’s happy to be a part of the Periscope Post & Audio team.
C. RYAN STEMPLE
Originally from the hills of West Virginia, Ryan is a colorist, editor, dailies technician and card-shark-wannabe who has worked on the shows "Crisis" (NBC) and "Empire" (FOX), feature films such as "In Bloom" and "Hope Springs Eternal", and ad campaigns for Walmart, 3M, Naked Juice, Panera, Kashi and many more.
